The Beauty in The Nakedness of Winter

I take a lot of pictures like this — anthropomorphizing nature.  In the summer, these trees are covered with leaves soaring up towards the sky.  In the wintertime, all of their nakedness comes through.  I feel a little bit of a peeping tom taking these pictures.  But this shows that even without all that greenery there is beauty and majesty in the scarred, twisting trunks and branches.  Can we find that sort of beauty in each other?

  1. Can’t say exactly why but I love your tree photos. To your closing question, as a misanthrope, I can’t say I’m quick to answer in the affirmative. Finding beauty in nature, beauty in animals … now that I CAN do (and do at all times!).
