Share Your World 2015 Week 22

Thanks to draliman, today I was introduced to Cee’s Share My World 2015 week 22 where you are invited to finish these four sentences in any way you desire (real life, fiction, poetry, etc.).

Complete this sentence: Never In My Life Have I….

Never in my life have I bungee jumped.  I can barely fly on airplanes.  Did I ever tell you about the time I flew with my brother?  A storm was brewing and the cloud cover obliterated visibility.  We were landing in an airport situated just over some mountains.  I had the face of utter coolness as we went through this experience.  I kept my voice calm.

But after we landed all hell broke loose within me.  I jumped up and down screaming and crying with happiness and then proceeded to pee in my pants.

Complete this sentence: My neighbour wants me to help her…..

My neighbor wants me to help her with her laundry.  She has a few items including a pair of blue jeans.  Unbeknownst to me, my entire wash load is going to be dyed blue from her blue jeans.

Complete this sentence: When I was little I wanted…

When I was little I wanted to kill my father.  He’s dead now, and I’m old and past the importance of anything he might have done when we were kids.  Still, I wish that people would see children as sensitive creatures who need protecting and nurturing instead of little hobbits who are resilient against anything.

Complete this sentence: Will you come here to…

Will you come here to clean up my house?  Maybe cook a meal or two?  Then go away and leave me to my solitude?

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful for home, blogging, photography, and my small family.  Next week I’m looking forward to being past this annoying cold, though.

  1. I’m thrilled that you found my blog via Draliman. Welcome to my community of sharing. It is fun. I really enjoyed your responses. Especially “Still, I wish that people would see children as sensitive creatures who need protecting and nurturing instead of little hobbits who are resilient against anything.” Kids need to be nurtured and protected.

  2. Sometimes you need help from others, yet, you don’t want it to everlasting….you always need your space no matter what the circumstances are. Enjoyed reading you responses to the questions. :)
