The petroglyphs told the story of an unusual event.
“At the beginning of time there was a monkey who mated with a dead deer head.
“All creatures hailed the developing egg as righteous beings. The egg hatched and revealed 5 babies. But in the great balance of life, it just so happened that all but one died, for various reasons, I suppose.
“A lady from a space ship landed and mated the sole survivor. They had many children and a dog who could ride a skateboard.”
“Soooo….” Mike said tapping his chin, “humanity’s mother was a monkey and father was a dead dear head?”
“Yup! …Or vice versa,” Susan shrugged.
