FF: The Exchange

Mary idled for a moment after dropping her daughter off, smiling at the school children being herded into the building for field day.

Suddenly, metal doors closed over the entryways, and a huge spaceship the size of the Empire State Building emerged from the ground. It roared into the atmosphere until it disappeared.

Mary was buried in the crater of the liftoff, her fingers still in her ears, and her mouth in the shape of an “O”.

Having taken 200 of Earth’s children, another spaceship from Earth2 would replace them with 200 of Earth2’s most hardened criminals and gangsters.
